How ICA helped Dormans achieve cost efficiency, enhanced production and improved packaging aesthetics.

The Project

ICA proposed an appropriate solution, enabling Dormans to achieve their goal of launching the modernized packs within their planned timelines. This solution brought numerous benefits, including cost efficiency, enhanced production capabilities, and improved aesthetics of the packaging.
Dormans purchased their first CSV40 form/fill/seal machines from ICA back in the early 2000s.

Satisfied with the performance and support provided, they opted to purchase a new machine from ICA again in 2015. There were two reasons for this decision:
- First, technology was evolving with digitalization and new components so they needed to keep up to date.
- Second, Dorman's planned to switch from pillow packs to quad seal packs and conduct a complete brand refresh and ICA seems to be the right choice for both.

The Story

Dormans Coffee Limited founded by Charles and Ellen Dorman in 1950, Kenya, has grown to become East Africa's premier coffee roaster.
Kenya is one of the biggest exporter of green coffee in the world but Dormans has decided to put their own brand and knowledge in that product making his added value in a premier coffee, now led by a woman, Rozy Rana, Managing Director.
Dormans also runs 'The Nairobi School of Coffee which offers Barista skills training and other bespoke coffee courses. As agents of some of the world’s best international brands of coffee machines, they are able to source the best equipment and accessories for our partners.
